Univ. to study Smart Meters

Monday afternoons, students at Clark University in Worcester, MA meet in a LEED-certified building to examine the future of national energy policy. The course includes 8 undergraduate and 7 graduate students from 4 countries. Clark’s Geography Department is the top-rated program in the nation. Professor R. Gil Pontius, Jr. PhD is an applied statistician and environmental scientist with expertise in GIS, ecological modeling, and land change science.  The “Land and Water Resources” class may be the nation’s first university level course examining smart grid policy juxtaposed with a local pilot program.”
